Your purchase is complete. To get started, please follow these simple steps to activate your plan in Google Sheets.

  1. Check your email for a confirmation containing your unique Profile ID.
  2. Return to your spreadsheet menu and navigate to Extensions > Flookup Data Wrangler > Manage your subscription > Profile activation.
  3. Submit your Profile ID to instantly activate your plan. Please note that you only have to do this once. If you encounter any issues, please refer to the troubleshooting guide below or contact us for assistance.

Getting Started with Flookup

This guide will walk you through installing the Google Sheets add-on and activating your Flookup trial or plan. Flookup is a premium add-on that offers a 7-day free trial for new users to explore its full capabilities directly within their spreadsheets.

Installing Flookup

  1. Temporarily log out of any other secondary Google accounts.
    If you do not do this, Flookup might fail to authenticate correctly. Please click here to learn more.
  2. On your computer, open the Google Sheets spreadsheet in which you want to install Flookup.
  3. In the menu, click Extensions > Add-ons > Get add-ons.
  4. In the new window, search for "Flookup" or "Flookup Data Wrangler" and click on it.
  5. Click the "Install" button and then the "Continue" button.
  6. To allow Flookup to work, read the important “Request access†message and then click the "Allow" button.
  7. When the installation completes, click the button labelled "Done" to finish.

Permissions We Request from You

Permission Granted by Google Why We Need It
See, edit, create and delete all your Google Sheets spreadsheets This permission is required for Flookup to read, modify and write data within your spreadsheets as part of its core data cleaning functions. We do not access or alter data without your explicit action.
Allow this application to run when you are not present This permission enables the scheduling of automated data cleaning tasks, which run at specified intervals without manual intervention to ensure your data remains current.
Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars This permission is required to display the Flookup user interface, including the sidebar and interactive dialogs, within Google Sheets.
Connect to an external service This permission is used for license verification and to enable AI features that connect to external APIs. All connections are secure and encrypted.
See your primary email address and any public personal information Your email address is used strictly for account identification and license management. Your personal information is never shared, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

How to Activate the Free Trial

Your 7-day free trial is activated by navigating to Extensions > Flookup Data Wrangler > Manage your subscription > Dashboard and clicking the Fetch status button. This step initialises your trial and enables Flookup's functions to process data in your current spreadsheet.

During the trial, you can experience Flookup's full power with some temporary limits: menu functions can be executed once daily per function, and custom functions can process up to 50 rows at a time. For unlimited access, we invite you to explore our paid plans.

Data Cleaning with Core Functions [GUI-based]

The easiest way to start is with our menu-driven tools, found by navigating to Extensions > Flookup Data Wrangler in your spreadsheet menu.
These provide a simple interface for complex tasks right inside the Google Sheets sidebar. See the full list of menu functions for more details.

Evaluating Custom Functions [Formula-based]

How to Activate a Paid Plan

  1. Head to our pricing page and click the purchase button to get the paid plan.
  2. Follow the prompts on our secure checkout page to complete your purchase.
  3. After payment, check your email for a confirmation that contains your unique Profile ID.
  4. Return to your spreadsheet and navigate to Extensions > Flookup Data Wrangler > Manage your subscription > Profile activation.
  5. Submit your Profile ID to instantly unlock all features. You only need to do this once for each new purchase.
